What is Breathwork?

Connection.

Breathwork is a full body experience of regulation, release, and relaxation using your breath to move stagnant energy.

Activation.

It is a practice of self-regulation during an intentional nervous system stress response activated by your breath and facilitates a release of trauma and deep inward connection.

Relaxation.

By expressing the stress response in a safe and supportive environment, you can gain access to your inner world, subconscious mind and the wisdom of your body.

Expansion.

This is a space to receive deep insight, answers and new perspectives.

    If you experience any of these, please consult your primary healthcare provider before participating.

  • We will begin with setting an intention and going over the breath technique.

    You will then settle into you space, making sure you have everything you need for your complete comfort.

    To start our journey together, I will guide you through a grounding meditation.

    From here, I will lead you into the Active Breath, alongside a specially curated playlist, building up gradually.

    As you begin actively moving the breath through the body, you may begin experiencing a wide array of physical sensations. We will go over these in more detail before the session starts.

    When the music reaches a climax, I will invite you to let out a primal sound (howl, scream, groan, yell, etc), and releasing whatever comes to the surface.

    We then begin to mellow out into another meditation followed by a period of rest.

    Once I have called you back into the room, the space is yours to reorient yourself to the waking world again with hydration and writing down your insights.

    The floor will then be open for any discussion, witnessing, or sharing of your/others experience(s).

  • Breathwork is best practiced in a space you can feel safe, comfortable and present.

    This could be your own personal space via online guidance or in a space that has been set up for you if practicing in-person.

    Being in physical space with (an)other human(s) is special.

    It allows you to interact with another's energy, their sounds, body movements and expressions. It also means a shared physical environment, with specific details set up for all of your senses to enjoy on either side of the journey, such as lighting, smells, decor, vibe, etc.

    That being said, online breathwork is also be very supportive.

    It allows you to be in your own space where you can be fully set up with all your favourite things for your fullest comfort and safety while limiting the distractions from others.

    There can also be an added layer of privacy, as you can decide for yourself if you'd like to share your sound and video... though as your facilitator, I do prefer to see you :)

    And of course, being online makes breathwork a little more accessible, as you don't have leave your house or be in the same timezone to participate.

  • In a personal session, you have my full, undivided attention and guidance. We go a little bit deeper into your intention for our time together and I infuse your energetic blueprint, and other tools to empower you to listen to your unique needs, messages and desires.

    If you've never done breathwork before or are nervous about accessing into your inner world, a personal session gives you for individual support to fully surrender to the experience.

    Where as in a group session, you are being supported as an individual that is part of a whole. Whenever a group of people come together, a collective energy is created.

    You are sharing this experience and seeing the different threads that connect you with others in the group. The integration at the end continues with sharing and witnessing of people's unique experiences and wisdoms.
